Brief Description: Chain Valley Bay consists of 2 townships: Chain Valley Bay South and Chain Valley Bay North. They are located approx 110 km north of Sydney and 35 km north of Gosford.
Parks and Gardens: Chain Valley Bay is home to Lloyd Avenue Reserve, which features toilets, playground, boat ramp & tables. In a lovely setting, this is the ideal location for a weekend get together with family and friends.
Schools & Education: Chain Valley Bay is close Lake Munmorah primary high schools. Both schools are located on Carters Road. The primary school has over 550 students, and the high school has over 800 students. There is also a pre school operating in Lake Munmorah for children aged 3-6 years.

Lake Munmorah
Brief Description: Lake Munmorah is located 115 km north-east of Sydney and 41 km north of Gosford. The jewel in the Central Coast’s marine environmental crown, the interconnected Budgewoi, Munmorah and Tuggerah lakes system spreads over an 80km aquatic playground just an hour’s drive north from Sydney. The lagoons are protected from the ocean by a sand peninsula and share a common ocean outfall at The Entrance. Shark free, the shallow lakes, with their gently sloping shores, offer safe, protected swimming, boating, waterskiing, canoeing and sail-boarding. There are prawns and crabs on offer and, depending on the season and conditions, anglers have the choice of targeting blackfish, bream, flathead, flounder, jewfish, mullet, tailor or tarwhine.
The town of Lake Munmorah sits on the northern shoreline and is separated from the ocean and its surf beaches by Munmorah National Park. Although the town is at the top end of the Central Coast tourist strip, the old Pacific Highway gives direct access to Munmorah’s sister resorts, theme parks and Gosford.
Parks and Gardens: Lake Munmorah is home to lovely Munmorah National Park which runs along 12 km of rugged coastline making a fine site for water sports, coastal walks with magnificent ocean views and wildflower displays in spring. You can launch a boat from the ramp at Elizabeth Bay or swim and surf at a variety of beaches (surf beaches are not patrolled, except Frazer Beach which is patrolled in Christmas and Easter holidays). Car-based camping is available at Frazer camping area (gas barbecues, accessible toilets) and there's car-based and caravan camping at Freemans camping area (gas barbecues). Only gas barbecues may be used in the park.

Gwandalan
Brief Description: Gwandalan is located 130 km north of Sydney and 50 km north of Gosford., and it is Perched on a peninsula on the southern reaches of Lake Macquarie, Gwandalan is the perfect anchor for a holiday to sample the swimming, boating, fishing and wine-sampling delights of Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the Tuggerah Lakes system of the Central Coast. By day you can take a scenic cruise aboard such craft as Macquarie Lady and Wangi Queen. Or, if the muse takes you, why not drop into the Wangi Wangi studio-home and now shrine of artist William Dobell. One of Australia's most important and influential artists of the 20th century, Dobell was born in neighbouring Newcastle and lived and worked from the shores of Lake Macquarie from 1942 until his death in 1970.
